The New BMW M4 GTS Has Arrived!

With our monstrous M4 hybrid turbo upgrades proving to be extremely popular around the world the team at Hybrid Turbos, who are avid M4 enthusiasts, could not wait for the release of the hugely anticipated M4 GTS!

The motor, which was finally officially unveiled yesterday, is being described as ‘the pinnacle’ of the 4 Series range. BMW have stated that production of the motor will begin at the end of this year with the cars appearing on the road next spring – However with only 700 vehicles being offered for sale only 30 are predicted to make it to the UK in right-hand-drive form.

The luxury German automakers have stripped-back the road legal model to enhance its performance on the track. Such changes include replacing the rear passenger seats with a roll cage and featuring bucket items at opposed to ordinary seats in the front. The M4 GTS also features a carbon fibre reinforced plastic bonnet, carbon fibre roof, spoiler and front splitter along with light weight door panels and standard-fit carbon-ceramic brakes.

The modifications allowed BMW to reduce the overall weight of the vehicle to 1510kg which is a reduction of 80kg from the standard model.

Now time for the all important Power Figures and Turbo Talk!

According to BMW the model has a 68bhp boost advantage over the standard M4 and an increase in torque of 37lb/ft, resulting in an impressive 493bhp and 443lb/ft of torque!

Similarly to the standard M4, the motor is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine but also features a brand new water injection system.

The model boasts of reaching 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds, remarkably faster than the 4.3 seconds achieved by the standard M4. BMW have also claimed that the vehicle has recorded a respectable Nürburgring lap time of 7min 28 seconds – 20 seconds quicker that the M3 GRTS model - check this out in the video below!

All in all this monstrous motor does sound incredible, but with a hefty price tag starting at £121,770 we would expect to see some pretty spectacular automotive magic!
