It has been a busy summer for Duncan Cowper and his well-known Dax Rush. The vehicle, which features a Hayabusa engine set up and a 1980's retrofitted F1 turbocharger which we upgraded in February, has been causing a stir on the racing scene.
Following success at Ten of the Best, which saw the Duncan confidently win the RWD handling course, he was recently invited to compete in the Guest Class of the fifth round of the Pace Ward MLR Sprint Series. The event, which ran in conjunction with the third round of the Litchfield GTR Sprint Series, took place over the weekend (Saturday 15th August, 2015) at Blyton Park.
Duncan, who suffered from issues with his drive by wire throttle which only allowed him to use 60% of throttle, still comfortably out-performed his competitors securing another victory of the season. Duncan has reported to us that the turbo performance well, yet again!
The turbo received a bespoke hybrid upgrade service which involved installing a Turbo Dynamics 76mm Billet Compressor W heel and a T3 77-trim turbine wheel, along with a custom CNC-machined, re-profiled, Compressor Housing. The unit left the workshop capable of producing 500bhp and it certainly has performed this summer.
